CAPLINQ Signs Agreement with AAA

CAPLINQ Nederland announced today its plans to represent Advanced Applied Adhesives (AAA) to its customer base in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Under the terms of the agreement, CAPLINQ will represent AAA’s complete product offering including AAA’s proprietary technology for conductive and non-conductive die attach pastes, and B‑stage products for leadframe, laminate and stacked die applications.

The right building blocks

Advanced Applied Adhesives offers a wide range of conductive and non-conductive die attach adhesives for Leadframe, BGA, and Stacked Die applications, featuring low bleed, low CTE, low stress, and the recently introduced Self-Filleting™ capabilities. In addition, a number of B‑stage materials are available for BOC (Board-on-Chip), Bottom Die Attach, and Wafer-Back-Coating applications.

We are proud to join forces with Chris Perabo and the CAPLINQ Nederland team,” remarked Frank Husson, President of AAA. “The reputation and expertise of Chris is well known in the industry. We are truly excited about the opportunities available to us through his extensive contacts and years of experience in the European semiconductor market.”

A strategic fit

The die attach and specialty adhesive offering of AAA complements the strategic direction of CAPLINQ Nederland, who’s aim is to supply a complete line of products to semiconductor manufacturers thereby enabling them to reduce their time-to-market.

CAPLINQ’s customers will be the real beneficiaries of this new relationship,” stated Chris Perabo, Founder of CAPLINQ Nederland. “AAA has a reputation in the industry to be very innovative and very responsive, two key elements needed to meet customers’ latest package design needs.”

About Advanced Applied Adhesives (AAA)
Advanced Applied Adhesives was founded in 2002 by Frank Husson to manufacture and market die attach adhesives and specialty materials for the microelectronics industry. The company occupies a 32,000 square foot facility in San Diego that had previously been Honeywell Incorporated’s Advanced Polymer Operation. The building has Class 1,000–100,000 clean rooms and production areas, and extensive production and analytical equipment for volume manufacturing of precious metal powders, proprietary polymers and specialty adhesives.

AAA has a strategic alliance with Designer Molecules, Inc. (DMI), a sister company with common ownership. Also founded by Mr. Husson in 2001, DMI’s business model is focused on the design and licensing of unique molecules, including adhesive molecules, for specific customer requirements. DMI’s co-founder, Dr. Stephen Dershem, a key inventor of the first BMI liquid monomer, is also a principal of the company.

About CAPLINQ

CAPLINQ is a specialty chemicals, plastics and products company that specializes in making foreign companies compete on a level playing field with European suppliers. With more than 300MT yearly of chemicals and plastics coming through Rotterdam in the Netherlands and a staff of engineers and technical representatives, CAPLINQ is a modern-day market partner. Using digital-age tools and the same legal techniques multinationals use, we create a European presence for foreign companies without them requiring to set up a European entity. We do this with four primary services: our order fulfillment Europe service, our technical representation service, our technical marketing service and our REACH Only Representative service.
