Hongyu Yu joins CAPLINQ as Application & Product Engineer

I am hap­py to announce that effec­tive June 29th, 2020, Hongyu Yu has joined CAPLINQ as Appli­ca­tion and Prod­uct Engi­neer. Work­ing full time out of our new offices in Assendelft, Nether­lands, Hongyu will sup­port new and exist­ing tech­ni­cal sales oppor­tu­ni­ties by help­ing our cus­tomers iden­ti­fy and imple­ment prod­ucts that meet their spe­cif­ic pro­duc­tion requirements.

I like to talk a lot with different people and spend time self-learning. My natural curiosity drives me to always ask questions and keep learning.

Hongyu grad­u­at­ed from TU Delft with a master’s degree in Chem­i­cal Engi­neer­ing. With a deep knowl­edge of chem­i­cals and expe­ri­ence in help­ing star­tups to grow busi­ness, she gets excit­ed when she sees oppor­tu­ni­ties to sim­pli­fy com­plex tech­ni­cal chal­lenges and help­ing cus­tomers trans­form these into real-word busi­ness solu­tions. She looks for­ward to ful­fill­ing her pas­sions for both the devel­op­ments of new tech­nolo­gies and the fast-grow­ing busi­ness at CAPLINQ.

Have stud­ied in three coun­tries and trav­eled to many more, Hongyu enjoys liv­ing and work­ing in an open-mind­ed and mul­ti-cul­tur­al envi­ron­ment. That’s one of the rea­sons she joined CAPLINQ and looks for­ward to set­tling down in the Netherlands.

Hongyu’s nat­ur­al curios­i­ty dri­ves her to always ask ques­tions and keep learn­ing. She enjoys talk­ing with a lot of dif­fer­ent peo­ple and spend­ing time self-learn­ing. She looks for pat­terns, sys­tems, and mod­els in all that she does, find­ing these con­cise and beau­ti­ful. In the absence of these, she cre­ates them, and sum­ma­rizes it herself.

In her free time, Hongyu loves watch­ing movies and gets fresh ener­gy from them. She also enjoys Bul­let Jour­nal­ing to sort all her crazy ideas. While in groups, she enjoys board games the most, some­times becom­ing maybe a lit­tle too com­pet­i­tive. She bal­ances this out with Karaoke which she also counts among her favorite — albeit more relaxed activ­i­ties. She says she is here to break­down all stereo­types to help “West meet East”. Her life quote is “to expe­ri­ence, to reflect, and to share.”

Hongyu to develop and support new technical sales opportunities

Key to this role will be to work with our cus­tomers to clear­ly under­stand their prod­uct require­ments and help them find and imple­ment the right prod­ucts to meet their pro­duc­tion requirements.

Orga­ni­za­tion­al­ly, Hongyu will report to the Busi­ness Devel­op­ment Man­ag­er but will inter­act with all depart­ments as she under­stands and imple­ments the tech­nolo­gies that CAPLINQ can offer its customers.
