New IATA shipping regulation for temperature data loggers

When ship­ping more than 5 data log­gers in the same pack­age, the reg­u­la­tions applies that the pack­age should be labeled. As you can read detailed below.

The new IATA shipping regulations applicable to CAPLINQ Smartlinq temperature data loggers are:

  • Up to 4 data log­gers in 1 pack­age: No restric­tions and no labelling necessary
  • When pack­ing 5 or more data log­gers in 1 pack­age: Labelling nec­es­sary on indi­vid­ual pack­age. And, air way­bill should have the com­pli­ance state­ment “Lithi­um met­al bat­ter­ies in com­pli­ance with Sec­tion II of PI 970”
  • When ship­ping more than 2 pack­ages in 1 ship­ment con­tain­ing between 1 to 5 data log­gers per pack­age: Labelling nec­es­sary on indi­vid­ual pack­ages, and if used, on the out­er­box (see image below) and air way­bill should have the com­pli­ance state­ment “Lithi­um met­al bat­ter­ies in com­pli­ance with Sec­tion II of PI 970”.
