TSE/BSE Statement for CAPLINQ Products

Trans­mis­si­ble spongi­form encephalopathies (TSEs) are con­di­tions that affect the brain and ner­vous sys­tem of many ani­mals and humans. In recent his­to­ry, a par­tic­u­lar type of TSE called bovine spongi­form encephalopa­thy (BSE) spread in cat­tle in an epi­dem­ic fash­ion. Many will remem­ber this now-famous epi­dem­ic as “Mad-Cow Dis­ease”. The uncom­fort­able truth is that the cause of these BSEs was because the cat­tle involved were fed remains of oth­er cattle.

This prac­tice has now been banned in many — if not most coun­tries — pri­mar­i­ly as a result of the TSE/BSEs.

The reg­u­la­tion that gen­er­al­ly defines this reg­u­la­tion is the Euro­pean Com­mis­sion Deci­sion 97/534/EC.

As a result of both this prac­tice and the reg­u­la­tions meant to pre­vent this behav­iour, com­pa­nies are now ask­ing their sup­pli­ers to pro­vide “TSE/BSE State­ments”. Most of all, to essen­tial­ly con­firm that the mate­ri­als they sup­ply do not con­tain any raw mate­ri­als pro­duced from, or derived from ani­mal origin.

TSE/BSE Statement

All CAPLINQ Lin­q­s­tat Series prod­ucts are man­u­fac­tured com­plete­ly from syn­thet­ic or man­u­fac­tured mate­ri­als. And, do not con­tain any raw mate­ri­als pro­duced from, or sub­stances derived from ani­mal origin.

More­over, these prod­ucts are not derived from spe­cif­ic-risk mate­ri­als as defined in Euro­pean Com­mis­sion Deci­sion 97/534/EC.

The man­u­fac­tur­ing process does not use any ingre­di­ent of ani­mal ori­gin. Also, any of our prod­ucts come in con­tact with ani­mal prod­ucts dur­ing stor­age and transportation.

All prod­ucts pro­duced by CAPLINQ are free from Trans­mis­si­ble Spongi­form Encephalopa­thy (TSE) and Bovine Spongi­form Encephalopa­thy (BSE)
