New IATA shipping regulation for temperature data loggers

  • When packing 5 or more data loggers in 1 package: Labelling necessary on individual package. And, air waybill should have the compliance statement “Lithium metal batteries in compliance with Section II of PI 970”
  • When shipping more than 2 packages in 1 shipment containing between 1 to 5 data loggers per package: Labelling necessary on individual packages, and if used, on the outerbox (see image below) and air waybill should have the compliance statement “Lithium metal batteries in compliance with Section II of PI 970”.
