Driving Sustainability Forward: Rose Anne Acedera

We are thrilled to announce that Rose Anne Aced­era has joined CAPLINQ as a Tech­ni­cal Appli­ca­tions Engi­neer, effec­tive May 1, 2023. Rose Anne will be based in the Philip­pines, where she will make a valu­able con­tri­bu­tion to our team. With her exten­sive research expe­ri­ence in the field of renew­able ener­gy device mate­ri­als, she brings a wealth of knowl­edge in renew­able technologies.

Rose Anne holds a Bach­e­lor’s degree in Mate­ri­als Engi­neer­ing and a Mas­ter’s degree in Ener­gy Engi­neer­ing from the Uni­ver­si­ty of the Philip­pines. Her back­ground in mate­ri­als sci­ence and ener­gy engi­neer­ing has led her to work on projects involv­ing the devel­op­ment of low-cost alka­line anion exchange mem­brane elec­trolyz­er tech­nol­o­gy based on tran­si­tion met­al oxide cat­a­lysts, as well as bio­mass-derived high-per­for­mance elec­tri­cal dou­ble-lay­er capacitors.

Dur­ing her stud­ies, she par­tic­i­pat­ed in inter­na­tion­al train­ing pro­grams host­ed by New­cas­tle Uni­ver­si­ty in the Unit­ed King­dom and the Insti­tute of Phys­i­cal Chem­istry – Pol­ish Acad­e­my of Sci­ence in Poland. Addi­tion­al­ly, she has attend­ed local and inter­na­tion­al con­fer­ences and pub­lished research arti­cles in peer-reviewed journals.

Rose Anne describes her­self as the “most extro­vert­ed per­son” you’ll ever meet, as she thor­ough­ly enjoys being in the com­pa­ny of oth­ers. She often hangs out with friends and occa­sion­al­ly engages in karaoke ses­sions with them. On the oth­er hand, she also appre­ci­ates hav­ing some alone time, where she likes to stroll in malls and enjoy a nice, warm meal when­ev­er she feels exhaust­ed from all the walking. 

Rose Anne’s friends and fam­i­ly describe her as some­one who is full of light and radi­ance. It’s true – with all the bright­ness and ener­gy she exudes, Rose Anne is deter­mined to pro­mote renew­able and sus­tain­able means of pow­er­ing the world.
