APLINQ reached an agreement with Shin-Etsu Chemical Anatomy of LED Packageto represent its line of specialty LED silicone materials. Under the terms of the agreement, CAPLINQ will provide technical and sales support to promote Shin-Etsu's KJR, LPS, and SWC silicones with focus on those products designed for for LED and LED-module assembly for the general lighting market.

LEDs Love Silicone

To meet the hotter, longer life (>80,000 hrs), more UV and thermally stable demands of the LED industry, silicones are the only cost-effective option.   1. Premolded Silicone LED Fresnel Lens Due to high demand from its customers, Shin-Etsu now offers premolded silicone fresnel lenses in a range of diameters for many standard LED sizes and LED applications.   2. Silicone LED Encapsulation Material The LED industry is still divided over the most effective way to use Phosphorus to convert the light to the right color. Whether the LED chip should to be pre-mixed and fully encapsulated with phosphorus, or whether a thin, standalone, Phosphorus-filled sheet shoud be used or whether the phosphorus-silicone mixture should be applied to the LED glass surface, Shin-Etsu have a silicone to meet your needs. Ask us about LED silicone potting LPS-3419 (Dimethyl-type RI=1.4), LPS-5547 (Phenyl-type RI=1.5) and phophorus-carrying KJR-632 and KJR-6700.

  3. Premolded Silicon Reflector Shin-Etsu literally broke the mold when developing this premolded LED premolded silicone reflector package. Codenamed "Tiger-LF", these leadframes are Shin-Etsu’s answer to the LED lighting market to replace the industry’s conventional PPA plastic housing with a premolded leadframe using Shin-Etsu’s patented Silicone Molding Compound – its SWC-Series products. These premolded silicone LED packages are a cost-effective means of withstanding high temperature and long-term UV exposure for LED assemblies. Ask us about SWC Tiger leadframes.

  4. Silicone LED Die Attach Silicone Using the same silicone technology, these LED die attach silicones bond the die to the leadframe and offer the same high temperature stability.
