Safe Handling During Operation

• Refer to the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for the specific 3M Scotch-Weld adhesive being dispensed before starting work. Structural adhesives may require gloves, eye protection, and adequate ventilation.
• Do not point the nozzle at people or direct dispensed adhesive toward skin or eyes.
• Dispense a short purge bead onto a waste surface at the start of each session to confirm correct ratio delivery and clear any unmixed material from the nozzle inlet before applying to the workpiece.

Maintenance and Storage

• After each use, leave the mixing nozzle in place on the cartridge to seal the outlet and protect the remaining adhesive. Replace with a new nozzle and purge at the start of the next session.
• Inspect the plunger rods for adhesive contamination or mechanical damage before each use. Clean contaminated contact surfaces with an appropriate solvent or dry cloth.
• Verify that the correct plunger is installed for the cartridge mix ratio before loading a new cartridge.
• Store the applicator in a clean, dry location when not in use. Do not store with a loaded or pressurized cartridge in place.
