Product Description

ABchimie DVU is a solvent specifically formulated for use with urethane‑based conformal coatings, particularly optimized for compatibility with UVP63 coating. Spray Coating

When solvent based coatings are sprayed, the higher pressure at the nozzle forces the solvent within the coating to evaporate. To avoid a too quickly curing of coating during spraying, thinner is necessary. The thinner DVU must be used in proportions between 1:1 and 1:3. A too weak dilution makes “coton candy” effect. In this case, add more thinner. After mixing, wait 2 minutes before spray.

Dip Coating

DVU may be used to maintain the viscosity of urethan conformal coatings in open tanks used in dip coating processes. Over time the solvent within the coatings evaporates, increasing the viscosity of the coating, and giving a thicker coating. This solvent loss must be replaced to maintain the correct viscosity to give an economical coating thickness. In most systems it is sufficient to measure the viscosity of the coating once per week.
