Main features
- Low-solid & halide-free
- No-clean flux
- Improves soldering performance
Product Description
KESTER 985M Flux is a low solids, halide-free, no-clean flux designed for various soldering processes. It was developed for use with both traditional tin-lead and lead-free solder alloys. This flux exhibits improved soldering performance, helping to minimize solder bridges (shorts) during all soldering operations. Kester 985M is classified as ORL0 under IPC JSTD-004 and ORM0 under IPC JSTD-004B.
Product Key Features
- Low solid & halide-free formulation
- Classified as ORL0 (IPC JSTD-004) and ORM0 (IPC JSTD-004B)
- No-clean formulation
Applications
- Wave solder, selective solder and touch up processes

| Specific Gravity Specific Gravity Specific gravity (SG) is the ratio of the density of a substance to the density of a reference substance; equivalently, it is the ratio of the mass of a substance to the mass of a reference substance for the same given volume. For liquids, the reference substance is almost always water (1), while for gases, it is air (1.18) at room temperature. Specific gravity is unitless. | 0.805 |
