| Viscosity Viscosity Viscosity is a measurement of a fluid’s resistance to flow. Viscosity is commonly measured in centiPoise (cP). One cP is defined as the viscosity of water and all other viscosities are derived from this base. MPa is another common unit with a 1:1 conversion to cP. A product like honey would have a much higher viscosity -around 10,000 cPs- compared to water. As a result, honey would flow much slower out of a tipped glass than water would. The viscosity of a material can be decreased with an increase in temperature in order to better suit an application | 30000 mPa.s |

Frequently Asked Questions About ABChimie® 9030 UV LED
What are typical applications for ABChimie® 9030 UV LED?
ABChimie® 9030 UV LED is a UV-curable resin designed to protect printed circuit board assemblies (PCBs) and components in demanding manufacturing environments, including:
- Automotive electronics (e.g., control units, sensors)
- Industrial automation (e.g., motor drives, PLCs)
- Consumer electronics (e.g., smart devices, wearables)
- Other high-reliability electronic assemblies
What is the recommended curing method for ABChimie® 9030 UV LED?
ABChimie® 9030 UV LED is UV-curable and should be cured with a mercury lamp. The minimum UVA dose is 3000 mJ/cm² for a 1mm thickness. The mercury lamp-curable version is ABChimie® 9030 UV. Higher UVA doses do not negatively affect final properties.
Learn More About ABChimie® 9030 UV LED
ABChimie® 9030 UV LED is a proven solution for engineers seeking fast, reliable protection of electronic assemblies in demanding manufacturing environments. This UV-curable resin delivers rapid curing, excellent electrical insulation, and strong adhesion to PET, ideal for applications in automotive electronics, industrial automation, consumer electronics, and other high-reliability assemblies.
Main Advantages of ABChimie 9030 UV LED
ABChimie® 9030 UV LED cures rapidly under UV light, enabling integration into both batch and inline production. The resin forms a durable, high-performance layer that protects assemblies while supporting high-throughput manufacturing.
ABChimie® 9030 UV LED cures to a clear, transparent finish, allowing easy visual inspection of components, markings, and solder joints without removing the coating. Its optical clarity helps maintain readability while providing reliable protection.
ABChimie® 9030 UV LED features a medium viscosity of approximately 30,000 mPa·s, providing an ideal balance between flow control and coverage. This viscosity allows the coating to spread uniformly without excessive running, making it suitable for selective coating, dispensing, or controlled manual application.
ABChimie® 9030 UV LED exhibits exceptional adhesion to PET (polyethylene terephthalate) and other flexible polymer substrates commonly used in modern electronics. Its robust bonding performance ensures long-term protection even on surfaces that bend, flex, or undergo repeated mechanical stress.
How to Choose a Resin
