3M™ Double Sided Tape 415
- Double Sided Acrylic Adhesive
- Good adhesion to various substrates
- Excellent for indoor / outdoor applications
Product Description
3M™ Double Coated Tape 415 is a double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive tape consisting of a 100 µm PET polyester carrier coated on both sides with 3M™ Acrylic Adhesive 400, and protected by a densified kraft paper release liner. This construction provides a strong balance of adhesion, dimensional stability, and processing performance.
The acrylic adhesive system delivers high initial tack and good shear holding power, enabling reliable bonding across a wide range of substrates including paper, films, foils, plastics, and metals. It is particularly optimized for printing and converting applications, where clean splicing, stable handling, and consistent adhesion are critical.
The polyester carrier adds strength and dimensional stability, making the tape suitable for both manual and high-speed automated processes, while maintaining good flexibility for splicing and lamination tasks. It also offers good resistance to UV exposure, humidity, and moderate temperature conditions, supporting stable performance in industrial environments.

Adhesive Thickness
Adhesive Thickness
Adhesive thickness indicates the thickness of an adhesive layer. It refers to the adhesive thickness of a single side so for double sided tapes it always needs to be multiplied. |

Film Thickness
Film Thickness
Film thickness is the thickness of a backing film without taking into account any coatings or adhesive layers. It is measured in micron and the conversion factor to mil is 0.039. |

Single or Double-Sided Adhesive
Single or Double-Sided Adhesive
Describes whether a tape is single- or double-sided. If it is single-sided, it has adhesive only on one side of the backing film. If it is double-sided, then it has adhesive on both sides of the backing film. |
