Main features
  • Thixotropic formulation
  • Excellent adhesion
  • Good chemical resistance

Product Description

LINQBOND T262 is a medium to high strength permanent threadlocker suited for fasteners up to 3/4" (20mm) diameter from UNC to UNF series. It has high thixotropy and high adhesive strength for all types of metal fasteners. When cured, it has consistent strength and torque-tension relationship on industrial fasteners including those on degreased phosphate, stainless steel, black oxide, and zinc-plated steel over the entire recommended torque range for Grade 5 fasteners. T262 also has excellent resistance against most industrial solvents.

Product Key Features

  • Excellent adhesion and sealing on a wide variety of metal surfaces.
  • 100% Solids Adhesive Formulation for minimized shrinkage and maximized bond integrity.
  • Thixotropic liquid for controlled application and prevents dripping or migration.

LINQBOND T262 has high lubrication for easy assembly and corrosion resistance under extreme environmental conditions, and can operate within temperatures of -50℃ to 150℃.

Technical Specifications

General Properties
Specific Gravity
Specific Gravity
Specific gravity (SG) is the ratio of the density of a substance to the density of a reference substance; equivalently, it is the ratio of the mass of a substance to the mass of a reference substance for the same given volume.

For liquids, the reference substance is almost always water (1), while for gases, it is air (1.18) at room temperature. Specific gravity is unitless.

Physical Properties
Viscosity
Viscosity
Viscosity is a measurement of a fluid’s resistance to flow.

Viscosity is commonly measured in centiPoise (cP). One cP is defined as
the viscosity of water and all other viscosities are derived from this base. MPa is another common unit with a 1:1 conversion to cP.

A product like honey would have a much higher viscosity -around 10,000 cPs-
compared to water. As a result, honey would flow much slower out of a tipped glass than
water would.

The viscosity of a material can be decreased with an increase in temperature in
order to better suit an application
3000 mPa.s

Operating Temperature -50-150 °C
Curing Conditions
Curing Schedule
Curing Schedule
Curing schedule is the time and temperature required for a mixed material to fully cure. While this applies to materials that cure with heat, there are also other materials that can be cured with UV.

Even though some materials can cure on ambient temperatures, others will require elevated temperature conditions to properly cure.

There are various curing schedules depending on the material type and application. For heat curing, the most common ones are Snap cure, Low temperature cure, Step cure and Staged cure.

Recommended cure type, schedule, time and temperature can always be found on the Technical data sheets.
Cure Time 30 min
Full Cure Time 2.4x101 hours

Directions for Use

  1.  Apply T262 to male threads. Fully coating the thread with the adhseive is not needed for the product to be effective.
  2. Assemble with its partner threading component. Tighten to the desired torque within 15 minutes of application.
